The skin is the largest organ of the body. Skin helps regulate the temperature of your body, which permits you to feel and distinguish between hot and cold. Skin protects us from the elements and germs.
According to WebMd, here are the three levels of your skin:
The epidermis, the outermost layer of skin, provides a

waterproof barrier and creates our skin tone.
The dermis, beneath the epidermis, contains, tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands.
The deeper subcutaneous tissue (hypodermis) is made of fat and connective tissue.
Melanin is a pigment produced by cells called melanocytes, which are located in the epidermis.
Acne, Dandruff, Eczema, and Rashes are a short list of external skin issues that occur when the skin is not taken care of.
